I'm based in Halifax and finishing the IT Programming diploma at NSCC, graduating in May 2026.
Most of my recent work has been hands-on: client support, building websites for small businesses, and working with APIs and tooling on my own projects. I'm comfortable explaining technical issues to non-technical users,something that came up often during my placement at GoLocalQuote.
On the side I build small tools I actually use,a local rank checker for Halifax businesses and a .ca domain availability tracker, among others. Most of them are simple by design.

Web Development Work Placement · GoLocalQuote
- NSCC IT Programming placement focused on a full rebuild of golocalquote.com.
- Diagnosed the live site (33/100 mobile PageSpeed, single-page architecture, missing meta and schema) and built the rebuild around fixing those gaps first.
- Front-end work in Next.js, responsive layout overhaul, image pipeline (PNG → WebP/AVIF), and on-page SEO including LocalBusiness schema.
- Wrote the maintenance documentation the team uses for future updates.

Full rebuild of golocalquote.com during my NSCC placement. Took a 33/100 mobile PageSpeed site and rebuilt it from scratch in Next.js with proper schema, real metadata, responsive layout, and a conversion-focused design.
SolveHFX
Civic-tech app for Halifax. Snap a photo of a neighbourhood issue, AI analyzes it and drafts a formal report, then it's automatically emailed to HRM 311 and your district councillor. Built the full stack from photo upload to email dispatch.
Swept Away Escapes
Marketing site for a Halifax-based escape room. Booking funnel, mobile-first layout, fast image pipeline.
CB Woodworks
Portfolio + lead-gen site for a custom woodworking shop. Gallery, contact flow, local SEO setup.
HFX SEO
Free SEO and speed audit for Halifax businesses. Runs Lighthouse on mobile and desktop, shows Core Web Vitals, screenshots, and AI-powered recommendations via Claude.
Maple Domains
AI-generated .ca domain suggestions for Canadian businesses, checked live against the CIRA registry. Demand scoring, live Porkbun pricing, and a quick lookup for names you already have in mind.
